Welcome to this week’s Link-Up! Have a real food meal plan or recipe to share? Our Monday Meal Plan link-up is now open to all real food posts and meal plans!

We do have a couple of guidelines for you to follow, if you would be so kind:

1. Please only link-up real food recipes on this page. If I find a recipe that is not real food (i.e. includes white flour, white sugar, sweetened condensed milk, etc.) it will be deleted! Rule of thumb: if it is processed, please don’t post it!
2. It is common courtesy to include a simple text link back to www.modernalternativekitchen.com. Those that don’t leave a link back on the original post will be deleted.
3. Visit the other links in this post and find some great recipes for your meal plan! Have fun, and maybe even discover some new recipes along the way!

This week’s Meal Plan is from our contributor, Faith. Thanks Faith for sharing with us here at Modern Alternative Kitchen!

You will notice that we eat the same thing for breakfast everyday during the week. I used to try to make a fresh breakfast every morning, but I just don’t have the time for that in this season of life. What works for us right now is for me to make a big batch of a breakfast food we enjoy on Sunday night, such as breakfast brownies or cinnamon power muffins, and eat it during the school week. I try to make something fresh and special on Saturday for breakfast. Sunday, since we are needing to get out the door so early for church, we just have basic soaked oatmeal. Lunch consists of the standard packed meal for my husband and leftovers for my toddler and I. If we don’t have leftovers, I will throw together some salmon salad. We primarily drink water and, for the boys, non-homogenized local whole milk. For snacks, we have raisins, raw cheese, veggies and fruit along with my personal stash of homemade dark chocolate peppermint fudge 😉

  5. I keep seeing pad thai recipes that look delicious, I’m going to have to make the leap and try one out soon! Your approach to breakfast is smart! I know my family would go for that method, but I hate repetition myself. Maybe one of these days.

    • Thanks, Erin! I will admit that I am not a fan of repetition either, but it makes my mornings so much easier. If my husband didn’t like it, we wouldn’t do it that way, but, as long as I am making him happy, I can deal with eating the same thing Monday-Friday 🙂

  8. One of the recipes I linked to has sweetened condensed milk in it, but I also added a link from Kitchen Stewardship on how to make your own condensed milk. Can I still post?
